Goat Yoga finally makes it way to the Bluegrass State! If you haven’t heard, Goat Yoga has been the latest fitness craze since 2016. If you google it, there are thousands and thousands, if not more articles and videos about this latest trend. Goat Yoga is exactly what it sounds like: people doing yoga, while there are goats running around them. When I first saw one of the viral videos floating around on facebook sometime last year, I knew I had to do something like this, if I came across the opportunity.

I was on facebook back in mid-April and somehow the event “Yoga With Baby Goats at the Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast and Retreat Center” came across my newsfeed. I immediately squealed with glee and knew I just had to sign up! This particular event turned out to be extremely popular and sold out almost immediately. They even began a waiting list, just in case people canceled and could no longer go. Other places around the country have had 500 or even 1500 people on their waiting lists. As you can see, these classes are in high demand. The Blue Heron Bed and Breakfast and Retreat Center is located in Richmond, Kentucky, and there are plans of having more events in the future, so be sure if you want to go, sign up as soon as you find out, because there are limited spots!

Before I get into my experience, let me tell you about Goat Yoga and how Goat Yoga became at thing…

Lexington Map Print | Modern Map Art

This post is sponsored by Modern Map Art. As always, all opinions are my own. This post also contains affiliate links.

Modern Map Art was so kind to send me a Lexington map for my home. Maps never go out of style and are on trend right now, and I had already planned on getting a map at some point and framing it. About a month ago, I moved into a new home, so I figured it would be the perfect opportunity. It was fate! I knew I wanted to hang it on the wall either in my office or living room, along with my other Kentucky decor and prints.

Things to Do in Lexington, KY: Week of May 20-26, 2017

Every Friday, I plan on sharing “Things to Do” in Lexington for the upcoming week Lexington. This is not a complete list of “Things to Do,” as there are many events constantly being added, it would be impossible to keep up  with all of them.

I see so many people say that they are bored. But the truth is, they either a) like complaining or b) they have no idea what is going on. We are all adults here, so there is no reason to proclaim you are bored. Go out and do something. We live in a pretty great city, so there’s no reason not to take advantage of what is has to offer. Not all events cost money and require tickets. There are plenty of free events  and things to do happening all of the time in Lexington, but you just have to know where to find them.

For the week of May 20-26, I’ve added over 100 events happening just in Lexington. If you click on the link, there will be more information, such as the address and whether or not, tickets are required.

Fabulous in Fayette Turns One!

I’m no stranger to blogging. I’ve actually been blogging for over nine years. Prior to Fabulous in Fayette, I had a blog called, “Everything Happens For a Reason,” which I had from early 2009 to March 2015. Even before I shut my previous blog down in 2015, I had severely decreased the number of posts I wrote for about a year prior, before I eventually pulled the plug. I had debated about starting a brand new blog; a Southern Lifestyle blog based around the fabulous city of Lexington and the great state of Kentucky, but never went through with the idea until May 16, 2016.

This brings me to today… May 16, 2017. Fabulous in Fayette is now celebrating it’s one year anniversary!!
