This post is in collaboration with AJ Apothecary. All of these opinions are entirely my own. Thank you for supporting brands and businesses that support Fabulous in Fayette!
Things have been crazy around here (I’ll mention more about it next week, and NO, I’m not pregnant haha!). But I do have some good news… I’m a brand ambassador for AJ Apothecary!
If you live in Lexington, I’m sure you have heard of AJ Apothecary. If not, let me tell you about them! AJ Apothecary makes natural beauty products for your body, face, baby, as well as products for mothers and bath time. All products are natural and are made with high quality, safe, and natural ingredients. The products are all natural, nontoxic, and cruelty free. In addition, there are no synthetic fragrances, artificial colors, parabens, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, PEG, or other harmful chemicals in any of AJ Apothecary’s products.
Skincare is extremely important, no matter what your age is. Why not choose products that are not harmful to you? After all, there are so many chemicals in the majority of brands out there, and not only is it not good for you, but it can also age you.
Luckily, I’ve been pretty blessed with clear skin. I’ve never had any problems with acne and have never been prone to breakouts, even though I wear makeup pretty frequently. I’m addicted to face masks of all kinds, and charcoal masks are all the rage right now, which is what I got to try!
I was given the Bluegrass Drawing Mask to try out, and here’s a description of what it is:
This natural charcoal face mask is perfect for clearing blemishes and giving you a complexion you’re proud to show off! Powerful ingredients such as activated charcoal and bentonite clay draw impurities from your face, while herb infused grapeseed oil improves the appearance of blemishes and soothes your skin without clogging your pores. The ingredients in this natural detox face mask were carefully selected from the best of nature.”
I think the Bluegrass Drawing Mask smells so good. My husband said he thinks it smells like potpourri. You can wear the mask anywhere from 10 to 20 minutes. Personally, I like to leave masks on the max recommended time. I have a 4.5 oz. jar and a little bit goes a long way. Immediately after washing the mask off, my skin felt softer, and I could tell that my skin was brighter. My husband even noticed, which is a huge plus! This mask works by drawing the impurities out of your skin and soothing the skin.
