We are just days away from St. Patrick’s Day, but many places in Lexington, Kentucky are starting their celebrations a few days early!
I put together a list of events to help you celebrate in style this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday! This list will help you celebrate St. Patrick’s Day all weekend long!

Friday, March 15, 2019
- 11am: Bar Louie Fayette Mall Saint Patrick’s Daze Weekend: Come out all weekend March 15-17th to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Bar Louie! They’ll have specials throughout the weekend including: $3.50 Green Bud Light Draft and $5 Jameson Shots.
- 11am: St. Patrick’s Day at Drake’s: Enjoy a specialty Irish menu March 11-17, featuring favorites like O’ Drake’s Leprechaun Burgers and Irish Fish and Chips. Get lucky on Sunday, March 17, with $3 Goodwood Green Beer, $4 Jameson Shots and $5 Lucky Drinks all day long! See menu: HERE.
- 11am: St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at HopCat Lex: Come out to their St. Patrick’s celebration! They’ll be hanging out all weekend and offering some goodies for the occasion.This weekend only, they’ll be serving up their Reuben Rolls — corned beef, sauerkraut & Swiss cheese wrapped in an egg roll, fried golden & served with 1000 Island dressing. Plus they’ll be offering our Classic Corned Beef, California Turkey & Kincaid Veggie Reubens.
- 4pm: 7 Days of Irish Whiskey at Whiskey Bear: In celebration of Saint Patrick’s Day, they will be offering Irish Whiskey specials every day from Monday 03/11/19 through Sunday 03/17/19. Today’s special: $10 Bushmills Flight – White Label, 10yr, and 16yr.
- 8pm: Derek Warfield & the Young Wolfe Tones at McCarthy’s (music): Come out and kick off St. Patrick’s Day weekend in style with a fantastic Irish band that is world famous.
For 40 yrs, Derek Warfield was one of the original Wolfe Tones members (the guy with the white beard), but he has been touring as “Derek Warfield and the Young Wolfe Tones” for the last 10 years. Tickets available: HERE. - 8pm: St. Paddy’s Weekend Festivities at Mr. Brews Tap House: St. Paddy’s Day is now a weekend long party! Ben Lacy kicks off Friday Night, Celtic Brigade Saturday Night and Selection and Bloody Mary Sunday! Green Beer and Keep the Mugs All Weekend, special Irish Tappings and Irish Whiskey Cocktails!

- 8am: Shamrock Shuffle – Downtown Lexington (fitness/health/wellness/cause): Kick off the running and racing season in downtown Lexington at the 13th Annual Shamrock Shuffle 3K presented by Relic and Stantec. Come out and walk, shuffle, or run in this annual St. Patrick’s Day tradition! The Shamrock Shuffle 3K is locally organized, and 100% of the net proceeds stay local benefiting Lexington Habitat for Humanity. Purchase tickets: HERE.
- 9am: St. Patrick’s Day at Oscar Diggs: Come join them as they OPEN EARLY at 9am for the St. Patricks Day celebrations! They will be serving a few Irish inspired classics as well as burgers all day. See menu: HERE.
- 9am: St. Patrick’s Day at Parlay Social: Join them starting at 9am on Saturday, March 16 for live Irish music, drink specials, and food specials with CHEF JASON SMITH cooking on-site in our kitchen!
- 9:30am: St. Patty’s Live Acoustic Yoga Flow at Wildfire Yoga: Join Nicholas Penn, a Lexington based Yogi as well as a guitarist, song-writer and producer and Kelli for a yoga class at Wildfire Yoga. This is the second time they have come together for a St. Patty’s day flow. Join them for live acoustics and a 60 minute class to start your weekend. Wear something green to be festive!
- 10am: Little Leprechaun’s Art Party! at Create art + play studio (art/crafts): Inspired by the St. Patrick’s holiday and leprechauns’ rainbows, they will explore various mediums to create art and explore sensory activities. - 10:30am: Top O’ The Morning Brunch at The Mane on Main (food): There is no better place to be during the St. Patrick’s Day festivities than downtown Lexington! Whether you are running in the Shamrock Shuffle or headed to the parade, come and join them at The Mane for our Top O’ The Morning Brunch! The Mane is located on the 15th floor of the Chase Bank building, so you will have a great view overlooking the city. Parking is included at the attached Chase Bank building garage, provided there are spots available. We will have a traditional Irish buffet with a few twists of their own! - 10:45am: 40th Alltech Lexington St. Patrick’s Parade and Festival – Downtown Lexington: Join everyone in downtown Lexington Saturday, March 16, 2019, to kick of Lexington’s St. Patrick’s celebration! The parade and festival are part of an all-day celebration that begins at 8 a.m. with the 13th annual Shamrock Shuffle to benefit Lexington Habitat for Humanity. At 10:45 a.m., the “Blessing of the Keg” at the Alltech tents at Robert F. Stephens Courthouse kicks off the free festival. The parade begins at 1 pm, rain or shine!
- 11am: St. Paddy’s Paddy’s Pub Party! at Blue Stallion Brewing Company: Paint the town green with them! They’re celebrating St. Patrick’s Day with a special release beer, their famed Paddy’s Pub trivia, Forage Food Truck with a Irish themed menu, and all-day specials from Dad’s Favorites Deli!

- 12pm: St. Patrick’s Day Weekend at Tin Roof: It’s that time of year, It’s time to drink Green Beer! Join them for our SEC Tournament Watch Party and they’ll have Green Beer and Irish Car Bombs flowing all weekend long! $10 pitchers of green beer and $5 Jameson & Irish Breakfast Shots.
- 12pm: Special Release: O’Ruddy’s Irish Red Ale at Pivot Brewing: In honor of St. Patrick, they are releasing a limited quantity of our Irish Red Ale. Slightly bitter on the front end, smooth on the back end with a touch of sweetness all the way through. Come check out O’Ruddy!
- 12pm: Saint Patricks Day Weekend at Fusion Brewing: Come out and hang with Fusion Brewing for their St. Patrick’s Day Party Weekend. Events at the Brewery will take place both Saturday and Sunday, the 16th and 17th of March. They will start off the weekend with a limited release of our Plum Sour Beer, The Anti-Clover, and continue the festivities with some fun and exciting party games. They will have food all day Saturday by IP&J Cuban Food and as always they will have beer cheese made with Fusion Brewing beer by Lollie’s Beer Cheese! Come down to the brewery and just have some fun and drink some of their tasty beers!!!
- 1pm: St. Patrick’s Day, All Day & All Night at Soundbar: Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at Soundbar! Open at 1pm. Stop in before and after the parade! Guinness $3.50. Irish Whiskey $4.50. - 2:30pm: Irish Folk at McCarthy’s (music): While you’re downtown enjoying the St. Patrick’s Day festival, come out to McCarthy’s for some traditional Irish folk music!

They’ll have live music from Liam Fancy, The Celtic Brigade, Grateful Sunday. They’ll start the day of with the Liverpool vs Fulham game. First 25 customers will get a free t-shirt.
