A Night With Jimmy Russell at Chatham’s | Master Distiller of Wild Turkey

September 1, 2016

A lot of my friends already drink bourbon (I mean, we live in Kentucky, so it is pretty much a given. 95% of the world’s bourbon is produced here), but I always like meeting new people and going to events (especially food and bourbon ones), so I came across a group called The Lexington Bourbon Society. I wanted to find a group of like-minded individuals that shares some of the same passions as me. The Lexington Bourbon Society is a bunch of Lexingtonians and friends that love America’s native spirit, which is bourbon. I’m not a member yet, but I…

Moontower Music Festival 2016

August 31, 2016

This post is in collaboration with the Moontower Music Festival. All of these opinions are entirely my own. Thank you for supporting brands and businesses that support Fabulous in Fayette! Moontower is an all-day music festival that is all about being local and being family and dog friendly. It shouldn’t come as a surprise or shock to anyone that I’m all about anything local. I seriously eat, live, and breathe all things Lexington, Kentucky. It’s my passion. I’m NOT a review blogger. I share what I love. This is literally how I live my life and how I choose to…

My Kentucky Tee | August’s Tee of the Month

August 26, 2016

I’ve been a customer of My Kentucky Tee for a little over a year, and I absolutely love seeing what shirt they come up with from month to month. I used to never ever wear t-shirts before.  Like ever. No joke. I doubt I even owned any really before last year. After becoming a customer, I was hooked and I proudly wear my t-shirts representing our great state of Kentucky. My Kentucky Tee is a subscription based service that costs $15 each month. Each month is a Kentucky inspired tee, and it will be mailed to you the first week of each…

CRAVE Lexington 2016 | Food and Music Festival

August 25, 2016

Crave Lexington is Lexington’s signature food event that celebrates locally-crafted fare from 55+ food vendors and 10 bands. There is also a classic car show as well. This is the fourth year that this event has been held, and this is the second year that I have been. The event this year was on August 13 and 14, and it was held at Masterson Station Fairgrounds. Masterson Station Park is one of the largest parks in Lexington at 660 acres. A couple of days before Crave, I was looking at the weather and it was supposed to rain all day…

Lexington Restaurant Week 2016

August 22, 2016

Lexington Restaurant Week is such an exciting week. It was from July 21st to July 30th. There were 44 of the best locally-owned, independent restaurants participating in this event (no chain restaurants!). For Lexington Restaurant Week, there was a special menu that you could order off of.  Some restaurants were two can dine for $26, and usually it included two or three courses. For example, for that deal, you shared an appetizer, you each got an entree, and you got to share a dessert. However, each restaurant, offered different things, so some may have only offered two courses. The other…
