Things to Do in Lexington, Kentucky: The Week of June 7-12, 2019

June 6, 2019

We’ve made it through another week! There are SO MANY events going on this weekend, and many are outside. Let’s just all hope the rain stays away for good!

Tomorrow is National Donut Day!! Some may assume that it is just another made up food holiday, due to social media, but you would be wrong! National Donut Day actually has origins dating back to 1938. Last year, I made an ultimate guide to places you can celebrate in Lexington, Kentucky, as well as the origin of National Donut Day, which you can check out: HERE.

There is everything going on this weekend from foodie events to movie nights to markets to grand openings of new businesses!

You won’t want to miss these foodie events: the Bluegrass BBQ Fest or the Beer Cheese Festival. Friday Night Flicks and Summer Nights in Suburbia are great events for the whole family! The Night Market and Thursday Night Live are great to spend time with friends! Wise Bird Cider Company will open up in the Distillery District tomorrow afternoon, and Shaking Seafood and Wings of Lexington and Michikusa Japanese are both having their grand opening this upcoming week!

GirlsGirlsGirls Burritos is having a birthday bash due to being in business for three years, and Lussi Brown Coffee Bar is celebrating two years of business!
